The global issue of climate change has become more pressing than ever, and as a result, it has captured the attention of many organizations and individuals worldwide. One such organization that has taken the initiative to address this pressing issue is the Mtuli Foundation.
The foundation has recently donated laptops to Mpherere CDSS, one of the schools participating in the 1.5 Max Summit in November 2022. The laptops are necessary equipment that will enable students to participate in the virtual summit, which is being conducted together with Scottish and Nepal schools. The summit’s primary focus is on climate change, and it seeks to provide solutions to address the effects of climate change in our society.
The summit is particularly important for students and youths, as they are the ones who will be most affected by climate change in the future. The 1.5 Max Summit will equip these young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the challenges of climate change head-on.
Mpherere CDSS is excited to be participating in this summit and is grateful for the laptops donated by the Mtuli Foundation. The school’s teachers and students are working hard to prepare for the summit and are eager to engage with their counterparts from Scotland and Nepal.
The summit will provide an opportunity for students from different backgrounds to come together, share ideas and learn from each other. By engaging with the summit’s activities, the students will gain an understanding of the global impact of climate change and how they can contribute to mitigating its effects.
The Mtuli Foundation’s support of the 1.5 Max Summit at Mpherere CDSS is a step in the right direction towards addressing the pressing issue of climate change. It is essential to equip young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle climate change and make a positive impact on the world. The summit provides a platform for students to collaborate and learn from each other, and we hope that the knowledge gained will be applied in real-life situations to make a difference in the fight against climate change.
